As regards the general question of

additional staff which may be required I think we

should send a copy of the despatch (1) without

enclosures to the Board of Trade enclosing a

copy of our letter to the Crown Agents, referring, as regards MTRK Collings mentioned in the litter to the C.A. to corresp last year under their No E.M 3824" saying that

the Secretary of State would be glad if Commander

Hole might call at the Board of Trade to discuss

the matters raised in the despatch regarding

the engagement of the additional Marine Surveyors

and enquiring, in the event of their acceding to

this request, to whom Commander Hole should be

instructed to report.
